PRIVACY POLICY DE WIERSSE

Landgoed de Wiersse

Our site address is: https://www.dewiersse.com.

Openstelling Landgoed de Wiersse B.V. (hereinafter: Landgoed de Wiersse) is responsible for the processing of your personal data as described in this Privacy Statement. This means that, under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), Landgoed de Wiersse is the data controller.

As data controller, Landgoed de Wiersse ensures AVG-compliant processing of your personal data. If you wish to contact us (about this), you can do so by contacting us by telephone on 0575-556655 (on working days between 9.00 and 12.00), sending an e-mail to info@dewiersse.com or writing a letter to Landgoed de Wiersse, Wiersserallee 9, 7251 LH Vorden.

Purpose and legal basis of processing your personal data

Landgoed De Wiersse processes your personal data for the purpose of concluding an agreement with you. Depending on the situation, this may be, for example, a purchase agreement for garden admission tickets, employment, rental, (ground) lease or a usage agreement. Obtaining your personal data is a prerequisite for concluding the relevant agreement. If we do not have your personal data, we cannot enter into the relevant agreement with you. If you subscribe to the newsletter or contact us by e-mail, we also process your personal data.

Processing your personal data for the purpose of concluding an employment, lease or rental agreement is also done on the grounds of a legal obligation that Landgoed de Wiersse must comply with.

Other possible purposes of processing include:

  • Handling your payment
  • Sending our newsletter and/or advertising leaflet
  • Calling or emailing you if necessary to carry out our services
  • Informing you of changes to our services and products
  • To e-mail you before or after your visit with additional information, a word of thanks, a request for feedback, or an announcement of a similar event.
  • De Wiersse analyses your behaviour on the website in order to improve the website and tailor the offer of products and services to your preferences.

Newsletter and contact after a visit

We use three forms of email contact, each based on its own legal basis under the GDPR.

Newsletter (consent, Article 6(1)(a) GDPR and Article 13 of the ePrivacy Directive). You can subscribe to our newsletter via the sign-up form on our website or by ticking the optional newsletter box during the checkout process for tickets or other products. This box is unticked by default; your subscription only takes effect if you actively tick it yourself. The date, time, source and IP address of your subscription are recorded as proof of consent. The newsletter contains news about open days, events, the seasonal life of the estate and related subjects, and is sent out on average once a month. Every newsletter contains a one-click unsubscribe link; you may withdraw your consent at any time without giving a reason and without consequences.

Contact after a visit or a purchase (legitimate interest, Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). Separately from the newsletter, we may contact you once by email after a visit to the gardens or a purchase through our website, to ask about your experience or regarding practical matters relating to your visit. We do this on the basis of our legitimate interest in maintaining and improving our gardens, our visitor services and the visitor experience, weighed against your rights and reasonable expectations as a visitor or customer. These messages are not commercial and do not promote new products or services. You can object to this contact at any time by replying to the email or by writing to info@dewiersse.com; we will then send you no further messages of this kind.

Notifications to previous visitors and buyers (existing customer relationship, Article 11.7(3) of the Dutch Telecommunications Act and Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). If you have previously bought tickets from us or attended one of our events, we may email you about a next edition of that event or about similar activities of our own, such as the Artisan Plant Market or our garden opening days. For this we use the email address you provided with your order, and we do so no more than a few times a year. These messages concern only our own, similar activities; we do not pass your details on to third parties for their marketing. Every email contains an unsubscribe link that works in a single click, and you can also unsubscribe at any time by emailing info@dewiersse.com. After unsubscribing you will receive no further messages of this kind.

Automated decision-making

De Wiersse does not make decisions about matters that may (significantly) affect individuals on the basis of automated processing. These are decisions made by computer programmes or systems, without a human being (e.g. an employee of De Wiersse) being involved.
